Ben is the owner and head instructor at ABC first aid + aquatics. Ben has had a passion for first aid and aquatics since a young age. His love for swimming led him to become a swimming instructor and lifeguard at the age of 16. He proceeded to become a First Aid, CPR, Basic Life Support, Bronze, National Lifeguard and Swim Instructor, Examiner and Trainer. Ben has over 12 years of experience in the Aquatics and First Aid world. Ben’s thirst for knowledge drives him to advance further with anything Aquatics or First Aid. Graduating with a BA in Psychology from Ryerson University, he continued his education, graduating from Paramedic College. Ben is always looking for more opportunities to learn and attain more qualifications and training. You can catch Ben managing at the pool, mentoring new lifeguards and instructors and leading training sessions at workplaces and health care institutions. When Ben is not working, you can find him running, working out and walking his Goldendoodle Riley.

Cale is one of the owners of ABC first aid + aquatics. He has over 12 years of experience teaching within the aquatics and first aid/CPR field. A graduate of York University with a Bachelors of Arts in Humanities and a Bachelor of Education. Cale specializes in certifying, training, certifying and mentoring new Lifeguards and Swim Instructors across the GTA and surrounding areas. When Cale is not on the pool deck training, he is working as a Special Education Elementary Educator, teaching an Intensive Support Autism Class with the Toronto District School Board. Cale dedicates his time to ensuring courses are fun, interactive and flexible and takes a hands on approach to learning, encouraging group participation and feedback.
